Otis and his farm friends are enjoying a summer's day playing their favorite game, follow-the-leader. The bull, however, has no interest in making friends and delights in scaring the other animals.
Suddenly the day turns frightening: The birds stop chirping, the wind picks up, and the sky turns dark and stormy. It's a tornado! Otis rouses a game of follow-the-leader and guides the farm animals to safety in the soggy bed of Mud Creek. But then Otis hears a cry in the distance - it's the bull, still locked in his pen! Quick as his tires will take him, Otis putt puff puttedy chuffs back to the farm to save the day. Will he make it in time?
Loren Long has a history with tractors, having driven his first while working on a horse farm in college. Despite never being allowed to ride the horses, he loved riding the same rickety old tractor every day that summer. "Otis and the Tornado" is another ode to those days on the farm.
Loren lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two sons, all frequent visitors to his studio, where they see the are and hear the stories first.
